The Lean Practitioner certification programme is a programme that has been designed to bring the delegate through from basic understanding of Lean to successful implementation of fundamental Lean tools Lean in the workplace. The tools and techniques introduced in this programme have been successfully applied in manufacturing and service organizations and have resulted in significant monetary savings and improved operational performance.  The programme structure combining classroom sessions and back-at-work tasks ensures that there is practical application of what has been learnt in the classroom.
 

Objectives 
This programme will equip the appointed Lean implementers with the necessary skills, knowledge, tools and techniques to :

  •     Identify wastes in the workplace
  •     Improve the organization of the work area
  •     Identify opportunities that can enhance the organisation’s ability to provide value to its customers
  •     Carry out work study on specific tasks and identify opportunities for improvement

 

Benefits  
Upon completion of the programme, the organization would have acquired a certified Lean Pracitioner who will:·

  • Have basic knowledge on Lean.
  • Be able to map and identify opportunities for improvement in the organisation’s value stream· 
  • Be able to apply fundamental Lean tools to effectively improve the workplace

In addition, for each Lean Practitioner certified, at least one Lean project would have been completed, providing the organization with a savings of at least RM25,000.

 

Certification Criteria 
Delegates are entitled to the following upon completion of the programme :

Training (Certificate of Attendance) 
Completion of Lean Practitioner Training with a minimum attendance of 80% of this programme


Certification (Certified Lean Practitioner) – Optional

  • Completion of Lean Practitioner Training with a minimum attendance of 80% per Flight-
  • Passing the Lean Practitioner Knowledge Assessment
  • Completion of 1 Lean project
  • Reports submitted to and approved by PNC Academy
  • Total projects savings  / benefits achieved more than RM25,000 per annum
  • All project savings / benefits achieved to be validated and endorsed by finance / senior management as real gains for the organization

Each Lean Practitioner candidate will be given a period of 3 months from completion of the training programme to complete one project for submission to Neville-Clarke.


Duration 
This is a 5-day course running from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm.
